Does that mean they'll be tearning down their mini-replica of San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts? That would be a shame.

The rumor "Anaheim city ordinance prohibited the building of structures exceeding a certain height. In order to skirt this law, Walt Disney supposedly had a 'basketball court'" is funny. I thought ordinance was in place for Disneyland. It keeps buildings outside the park from being seen by guests inside.

Wow, talk about deja vu.
This bar belonged to a childhood friend of my father.
J.C. Proctor grew up in Southwest City, MO and was born in the early 1920's. Some time after WWII he moved to the Anaheim area and opened this bar.
In the 1980's he would return to SWC for the annual Southwest City Invitational Golf Tournament that my Dad would sponsor. One year he brought a limousine that he used at the bar and gave the children at the tournament limousine rides. Another year he drove up in a DeLorean. Around home he was known as "Gracie".
My kids remember him as the "limousine guy" but I remember him as a great storyteller. One of his stories was about his ex-wife. He said "after the divorce she told me 'J.C. there's just one thing about you that I hate-it's that you breathe'"
I've lost touch of the Proctor family since the 80's but I'd love to hear from someone who knew "Gracie"

I smoked a cigarette here in full view of impressionable children. Then I shoved some food in my face while having my hair touched by a slightly disturbing waitress. Overall, a thumbs-up experience!
