this is the site of the former Eeyore parking lot before they built the ride and before CA Adventure. If you ask the cast members about it when you're in the room showing the projection about the discovery of the temple they'll flash a light onto an Eeyore sign you can still see in the very back of the room. =]

^^ not really, often there are too many trees in the way... I'd say the best place is right in front of the trees and bushes in front of this statue, facing the castle.

It isn't really "underground"; you can see the building that houses the actual ride to the southwest of the "Haunted Mansion" building visible from Disneyland. The elevator is needed to go under the Disneyland railroad tracks.

Okay, adults. This one is very fun even without the kids. If you grew up in the 60's you'll know exactly what I mean, but it is a blast even without any extra help ;)

Yes the ride is underground! If you note as you enter, the "stretching room" is actually a large elevator. Further along the ride you descend quite noticably into the "Graveyard" area later to to rise at a steep angle back up to park level. It is similar to Pirates of the Caribbean and quite a marvel of set design and imagineering. Limited space? No problem for Disney!

  • Main Street Fruit Cart, sixalex (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
It's the ice buckets. They are deeper than the other carts and the bottles get buried in ice. The bananas are better in the evening after they ripen, but the rest of the fruit is delicious all day long. Right next door is the coffee shop with checker boards. Great place to cool off in the middle of the day and relax without having to just sit still.

This is a nice place. Quiet and clean and just enough food. It's true about the bathrooms.

I got a color T.V. from this place. I had to steal alot of green stamp books to get it!

Alcohol-free venue. If it was a Free-alcohol venue, (and had more metal bands playing here), I might even patronize this place.
  • Golden Horseshoe Saloon, phiz wrote 17 years ago:
Customer service is a thing of the past most everywhere nowadays. I would call "service" at the Horseshoe non-existent. There was a time when you didn't have to wait in a long line to belly-up to the bar, a hostess would seat your party and, a waitress would take your order at your table. That was service.

Good review of the show and some great links for fans of this cornball music hall silliness. I recently saw this for the first time and loved it! I am not a fan of country and western music nor did I ever enjoy the show Hee Haw, but there is something charming and satirical about the way everything is presented. Fun poked, but no maliciousness. All this and ice cream! Service is a little slow and you may have to remind the crew behind the counter to attend to the clientle, rather than each other. We have returned twice and each time we have a similar experience, with other customers (guests) making the same observations. In all of my experiences with Disney this is the only place I have found where this poor quality of service exists. The show is top notch however and I would say it is a "don't miss" for adults and littlekids. Teens may find it too quaint, but I have seen plenty of young adults laughing and tapping toes.

This a bit of a holy grail for Disney enthusiasts. I am captivated by the idea of eating here one day and absolutely want to be a member. The marking on the map is a little sloppy and actually covers many other shops and restaurants, but other wise this is a legit location and worthy of being marked!
