I feel so sorry for today's sheltered youth who didn't grow up in the era when the door was merely a rope and the cups spun much faster. The threat of flying out at any given moment was fun!

With the original location turned into a Taco De Carlos and now gone, this may be the oldest surviving Carl's Jr. restaurant.

Is that a fashionable young phiz hanging out with the ladies up front? The lame factor of waving from a trolley is lessened in the immediate presence of estrogen. Pelvis hugs all around!

  • Haunted Mansion Structure, Jake (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
The haunted mansion is actualy is in a large warehouse. The Stretch room is acctualy an elevator (in fact, it has a sign that states it's an anaheim certified elevator that is hidden because of the darkness!) Then it takes you to where you board the doom buggies (fun fact: They're actualy colored Light Blue!) which, if you notice, slowly ascends to ground level inside the warehouse. You then proceed through the ride until you descend in the graveyard, then you go up an escalator to the side of the mansion structure. Walt disney and his imagineers sure were amazing.
