To all women! Do not deliver your baby in this hospital!!! I had my son in this hospital. A week before I went into labor I pre-registered, got an orientation and gave all my info to this hospital so I wouldn't have a problem getting into the hospital once I went into labor. Week later I go into labor. Somehow I wasn't in the system. :/ wtf???!!! The RN supervisor had lost my papers I gave her. My dr. Abaian didn't sent them my blood work or gave me a card they said I needed to have. They left me in the delivery room 10cm open for 5hrs! Finally the doctor came told me to push. And than to stop pushing I couldn't hold it any longer. I pushed and the baby came out. Not breathing or crying he was blue. He wasn't responsive . They had to resuscitate him & it felt like forever. He almost died luckily they had a great icu but not a day goes by that I regret choosing that hospital . I don't wish that upon no new mothers or mothers to be for the 2nd or 3rd time.

Dude, this was the gnarliest snake run I ever was on. It was so tight and so steep and the walls were like 2 feet high. Nobody could make it without flying out of it. I was there when it opened and I saw more guys fly on their head than anywhere. I bailed after the 2nd run and said this is a nightmare. I think the thing closed like after a couple of months because so many people got hurt. It was one of the main reasons why all the other parks closed because it was so squirrely and everybody sued the shit out of them. Whoever designed this was a complete moron and obviously never skated in a half pipe before. It looks more like a waterpark than a skatepark.

  • Harmony Park Ballroom (site), Kenny Laursen (guest) wrote 11 years ago:
I performed at the Harmony Park Ballroom in 1958-59-60. I was in several bands that backed the rock and roll acts that played there on Saturday nights. I was the bass player with Bill Destro & The Destinys, The Phantoms, and a couple nights with Don Julian & The MeadowLarks. The shows were often hosted by Art Laboe and featured regulars like THe Sheids, The Robins, who became famous as The Coasters, The Flamingos, Vernon Green & The Medallions, Don & Dewey. There would often be a special ghuest like Jerry Lee Lewis. After Ritchie Valens' death, several memorial nights were scheduled. Harmony Park was never as famous as the El Monte Legion Stadium for Saturday night Rock shows but it was promoted by the same people.
