I'll second that. Giant dill pickles, too, if they've still got 'em.

    ...and it always has SOAP!
  • Restrooms, Princess Peanut (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
Noisy, out of soap, and full of baby-changers. If you're in a small group and/or childfree and need a quieter restroom, look for the one near the Carnation Cafe.

  • Stoddard Park, john (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
When I was a little kid, Stoddard Park had this awesome steel tower that resembled a rocket...seemed like it was 10 stories high (probably only 3) that you could climb up into, along with steel cactus that you could play on. I imagine it's all gone now, completely unsafe. (I moved to Oakland when I was 12.

If you can remember when this used to be Adventure Through Inner Space, you win the grand prize: original tiles from the Mary Blair Tomorrowland exhibit that used to grace the side of the building before the Disney bigwigs decided it wasn't profitable.

My baby sis got on this ride on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 and only waited 20 minutes. The year it opened, I was able to get on in well under 90 minutes in the late afternoon on a hot day in July - not a bad wait for a brand-new ride during peak season. The ride is about 10 minutes long and quite charming (and I'm a hard-hearted cynic) so the wait is worth it, in my not-so-humble opinion.

  • Blue Bayou Restaurant/West Side Diner Cast Cafe, Dizzyland (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
This place used to be pure magic when I was a kid. Now, it features tragic prices for less food than what you get for half the price at Cafe Orleans around the corner - plus, the Cafe Orleans offers the cheese Monte Cristo, not just the ham-filled variety. The wedge salad is particularly ridiculous, consisting of a quarter of a head of iceberg lettuce accompanied by a salad dressing urn. Horrid service on my birthday two years ago - the servers took forever just to bring the water, and even though we had made special arrangements, I didn't get my birthday surprise. Yeah, I know, boo-hoo. I'm over it and never eating there again until the menu, prices, and lousy service change.
